On October 29, 2020, Aspire attempted our first-ever virtual Toast To Literacy gala hosted by President and CEO, Dr. Linda K. Johnson; Chief Program Officer, Shana Harrison; and their very special guest and emcee Gary Ahr. Honorary Chairs Susan & Peter Aberg and Joyce & Charles Collie worked in conjuction with Event Chairs Kim & Maury Purnell and Sarah Lopano and James Plantes to help design a program that would generate excitement and encourage participation. We were entering the great unknown with this approach but given the strength and support of the Aspire community, we should not have been surprised by the enthusiastic response for the event.

The evening included a virtual silent auction, a series of videos celebrating the successes of our students, our impact on families, and reflections on what we can all do to help Aspire carry out our mission, and of course many Toasts, both in the studio and in the homes of supporters!

Toast To Literacy By The Numbers:

- More than 376 unique viewers

- $185,225.00 raised during Toast To Literacy

- Over 5,000 minutes of streaming content delivered

- 26 Corporate and individual event sponsors
