On September 23, 2021 the North Texas community came together to support area non-profit organizations for the 7th annual North Texas Giving Day. Every year since 2014 fundraisers and development staff are full of trepidation and sleepless nights going into this event. STUDENT SPOTLIGHT
Veronica grew up in the town of Churumuco in Michoacan, Mexico, with four brothers and two sisters. Her parents were not supportive of her education, and she was pulled out of school at the age of seven to work in the fields, cutting melon and cleaning houses. During this time, Veronica was also struggling with a life-changing experience. Read more »

Chrys Meador grew up traveling across America. She was born in Kansas City. Missouri into a military family and moved around the country every few years. Chrys returned to Kansas City to attend the University of Kansa and earned a bachelor's degree in journalism. Next, she received a full scholarship to study international relations at George Washington University in Washington, DC. Read more »
